Industry 4.0 competencies for small and medium-sized businesses

The Innovation Factory North is an Industry 4.0 ecosystem, uniting the region's technology suppliers, users, academic institutions, and students. This physical hub fosters competency development, driving new and innovative solutions through experimental, iterative learning. Activities revolve around three key development paths:

  1. Awareness Programs: Unveiling businesses' potential with specific Industry 4.0 technologies and identifying practical solutions. Anticipating participation from 70 companies, potentially clarifying at least 35,000,000 DKK.
  2. Demonstrator Programs: Themed experiments crafting innovative solutions, collaboratively undertaken by technology suppliers, users (SMEs), and researchers/students in Innovation Factory North. Aiming to create 30+ prototypes involving 30+ companies.
  3. Implementation Programs: Focused on transitioning prototypes from demonstrations to companies' environments, offering support for implementation and testing. Aiming for involvement from 25 companies, testing at least 25 innovative prototypes.

These collaborations facilitate a gradual transition for companies, advancing from understanding Industry 4.0 potential to actively implementing novel solutions in their operations.

Built upon prior project successes, emphasizing the necessity of a comprehensive approach in regional economic development, this framework enables experimentation, understanding Industry 4.0 potential, and fostering technological and implementation competencies in practical business settings."
