A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official opening of a groundbreaking new laser lab at Aalborg University (AAU). The lab boasts a state-of-the-art Dynamic Beam Laser, promising to revolutionize research and development across various fields.

This innovative technology drastically reduces design time, from months to mere minutes, accelerating the pace of exploration and discovery. Early trials have already yielded promising results, showcasing the laser's ability to manipulate beam shapes, influencing heat profiles and spatter formation. This paves the way for entirely new possibilities within various research areas.

"Previously, we often resorted to standard solutions due to the difficulties of individual adjustments. This laser allows us to collaborate with AAU on developing customized fans that perfectly match user needs, with the potential for continuous optimization," says Anders Lund, development engineer at JKF Industri, a company specializing in ventilation components.

Open for Collaboration

Fueled by a generous donation from the Grundfos Foundation, AAU's new laser lab is not just about research. It is a collaborative hub, welcoming students and industry professionals to tackle diverse challenges with its flexible setup.
