HomeCollaboration

The Visiting Researcher Programme is a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening international collaboration on research of highest standard. If successful, the research visits could also result in subsequent considerations for full employment.

The Visiting Researcher Programme is intended to give researchers from other research institutions the opportunity to engage in scholarly interaction with the Department’s research groups. Visiting researchers are therefore expected to engage actively in seminars, projects, doctoral workshops etc. to develop a foundation for future collaboration.

Visiting researchers are provided with (shared) office facilities, access to the University’s library as well as to our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and other research infrastructure. Visiting researchers will also benefit from participation in a wide range of seminars and from interaction with a large group of doctoral students and researchers.

Applications may be submitted continuously. As a part of the assessment of applications, the Department will give priority to research in areas of particular interest to our research groups. Applicants are required to describe how their research is related to one or more research groups or individual researchers at the Department. Prior contact to and invitation from a relevant researcher is highly recommended.

Applicants are required to document health insurance and adequate financial support for the duration of the stay. The Department offers coverage of travel and accommodation costs.

The number of applicants accepted to the Visiting Researcher Programme is at all times dependent on yearly budget allocated to the program.

The application must include:

  • Personal details
  • Motivation for visit (time, content, link to MP research, expected output, etc.)
  • CV
  • Budget
  • Invitation letter
